Erosional Remnants on Ganges Mensa

Erosional Remnants on Ganges Mensa

Erosional Remnants on Ganges Mensa
These little mesas are most likely erosional remnants of the unit which caps Ganges Mensa further to the west. Ganges Mensa is itself a mesa that rises up 4 kilometers from the floor of Ganges Chasma, one of the peripheral valleys of Valles Marineris. A digital terrain model would allow measurements of layering all the way around one of these mesas.
