Our goal is to establish continuity of clay layers with exposures seen in Mawrth Vallis at similar elevation to these outcrops. Light-colored tones are visible in the exposed faces of the buttes. There are few large craters and clusters of probable secondary craters. Spectral data from CRISM can also help us to interpret the geological story going on here.
