Constraints on the past atmospheric pressure of Mars can be obtained if small ancient craters are located. Earlier Context Camera and HiRISE images show large, ancient sedimentary impact craters exist at this site near Nili Fossae. The hypothesis: small craters exist too, meaning the atmosphere was thin at the time of sedimentation.
