Possible Jarosite-Rich Stratigraphy in Ius Chasma
Jarosite is a potassium and iron hydrous sulfate that was identified by the Opportunity rover, and it might be useful in retaining textural and chemical evidence of past history on Mars. It is a common mineral on the Red Planet found in many locations, such as Ius Chasma in Valles Marineris.
