Within Koval Sky Crater are clusters of ring mold craters, thought to be formed by impacts into ice. Fresh, non-ring mold craters are also present in this region, implying the disappearance of near-surface ice. This observation may help us investigate the presence of ice and temporal changes in the depth of the ice.
