North Polar Residual Ice and Defrosting Dunes

North Polar Residual Ice and Defrosting Dunes

Residual Ice and Defrosting Dunes
In this image, we see apparent mounds and/or pits on residual ice with defrosting dunes in the north polar region of Mars. A stereo pair will help us to understand the dimensions of these pits. Additionally, with HiRISE resolution, we can study the texture and relatively small landforms that are tens of meters across.
