There are possible Mawrth-Vallis type pedogenic clay sequence close to a proposed ExoMars landing site. (“Pedogenic” refers to the formation and development of soil.) CRISM detections are consistent with two-composition clays interpreted as weathering sequences. A HiRISE image can help to confirm this by looking at the clay stratigraphy.
