This observation features an interesting cut in the landscape. Was it caused by erosion, a fault, or a low angle of incidence of a meteor strike? This channel, in Aonia Terra, is to the west of Lowell Crater. Our previous day’s HiPOD focused on a feature to the east of Lowell, so Aonia Terra has lots to offer!
