In previous images, this impact crater on the floor of Coprates Chasma has some really promising candidate recurring slope lineae (RSL) on north-facing slopes. Could they be active in the northern summer? RSL still remain a topic of investigation to determine their nature and the processes that create them. Coprates Chasma is part of the Valles Marineris canyon system.
