Fan-Shaped Deposit with Floor Outcrop in Camichel Crater

A Fan-Shaped Deposit in Camichel Crater
THEMIS night-time data shows a fan-shaped structure on the crater floor, connected to a small inlet channel on the northeast rim, next to a large alluvial fan with hydrated silica to the north. HiRISE images may help discern the sedimentary features and identify past fluvial activities of different episodes. The crater is named for French astronomer Henri Camichel (1907-2003).
