Lava-Filled Crater near Athabasca Valles

A Lava-Filled Crater near Athabasca Valles
This small crater is mostly filled by Athabasca Valles lava. The lava fill has a depressed surface demonstrating deflation, as in other cases where craters have been entirely buried and filled, but this crater is at the flow margin so the original rim and part of the surface are visible. This observation provides clear evidence that these features are due to deflating lava in craters.
