Pit in Northern Plains Crater

Pit in Northern Plains Crater

The Pitted Crater
This pit at the center of a northern plains impact crater somewhat resembles ice exposures, but doesn’t look clean. Could it be ice under a thin lag? The CRISM instrument can provide information if ice is being exposed here. We also want to look for active slope retreat of the crater walls.
