Light-Toned Material in Eastern Nectaris Montes
This image gives us a nice example of a light-toned rock outcropping in Valles Marineris also known as “wall rock.” Our main science goal: let’s get a closer look at the properties of this material. Is it layered? Fractured? Or perhaps superposing/pasted-on, or part of the original pre-chasm rock?
