The objective of this observation is to examine a lava flow as it approached a part of the eastern wall of Huygens Crater. This image may show how it briefly went up an incline next to the wall, and then retreated. Pictures like this may help us understand the movement of lava on Mars. Huygens is just under 500 kilometers in diameter and the fifth largest recognizable impact crater on the Red Planet.
