Impact-Related Deposits and Flows West of Shalbatana Vallis

Impact-Related Deposits and Flows
The goal of this image is to observe how surface flow patterns in the area vary with distance from a proposed parent crater. This is one of several flow feature observations being suggested in the vicinity of a small (under 5 kilometer) well-preserved crater to the east of this locale. Shalbatana Vallis likely was the shoreline of an ancient lake and is the word for Mars in the Akkadian language.
