This fluvial sinuous ridge in Oxia Planum may represent ancient fluvial deposits or non-fluvial material that infilled the channel. HiRISE is requested to verify which interpretation is correct. Oxia Planum is a 200 kilometer-wide clay-bearing plain located between the Mawrth Vallis outflow channel to the northeast and the Ares Vallis outflow channel to the southwest.
