This stratified butte contains bright-toned material at its top and base that are clay-bearing according to CRISM data. These regions of bright-toned material are layered down to the meter scale and are heavily fractured, reminiscent of similar clay-bearing deposits at Mawrth Vallis. Correlation of these deposits is possible with HiRISE images.
