Fault Deformed Crater

A Fault-Deformed Crater
This small 1.5-kilometer diameter crater has an unusual oval shape. It is situated on a wrinkle ridge (a thrust fault) that appears to have been deformed by the tectonic activity, rather than postdating it. As these same wrinkle ridges deform the Oxia Planum ExoMars landing site area, we could learn about the wider tectonic setting of this landing site from craters like this.
