Identifying these types of fluvial ridges outside of craters is critical for reconstructing ancient sedimentary basins, and channel deposits in basins are one of the key deposits used to constrain ancient climate, water discharge, and base-level changes. This is a previously unidentified sinuous ridge from a recent global survey of such features.
