This observation in northern Arabia Terra shows a possible fan delta that might be associated with fluvial activity in the Hesperian-Amazonian epochs of Mars (billions of years ago.) This is a ride-along image, so HiRISE can resolve layering and any diagnostic sedimentary features, while the CRISM instrument can also provide mineral detection of those layers.
