The objective of this observation is to examine “brain terrain” on part of the floor of a crater in Claritas Fossae. Pictures like this can help us understand past climate and why nearby craters have slight differences in the expression of brain terrain. In some areas, the coverage is complete; in this one, only part of the floor is covered in brain terrain. Claritas Fossae is a densely-dissected highland terrain located south of Tharsis Montes.
