Bright Patches on a Crater Floor
First seen in CaSSIS image data, this observation shows us exhumed olivine (a mineral) and scattered bright patches on the floor of Ibragimov Crater. Ibragimov is located in the eastern part of Thaumasia Planum with a diameter of 87 kilometers. It’s named for Nadir Baba oglu Ibragimov, an Azerbaijani and Soviet astronomer (1932-1977).
