Dipping Layers in Tantalus Fossae
Our science goal for this observation is to understand the stratigraphy and layering of an apparently glacial unit. Tantalus Fossae is a set of long valleys on the eastern side of Alba Mons. These valleys are referred to as graben and are formed by extension of the crust and faulting.
