Depression and Cracks in Northern Mid-Latitudes

Depression and Cracks in Northern Mid-Latitudes

Depression and Cracks
The objective of this observation is to examine a group of depressions with associated cracks. The cracks and depressions seem to be forming in an upper layer of material. Some researchers have suggested that this region once had a 200 meter thick ice sheet that was affected by dikes. This scene is also visible in Context Camera image data.
