This image footprint features an interesting area of Candor Chasma. There is possible soft sediment deformation of lacustrine (lake-related) sediment. Our image resolution, along with digital terrain model, can support geologic mapping. Candor Chasma is one of the largest canyons that make up Valles Marineris. It is approximately 810 kilometers long (503 miles).
