Clay-rich deposits are detected at this location on isolated hills near Lunae Planum. These outcrops need to be analyzed in detail by combining spectral signatures (CRISM) and high resolution images to better characterize their shape and stratigraphical context. The multiple channels of Vedra Valles are much smaller than the other nearby channel systems.
