The Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter entered into orbit around Mars on 10 March 2006. This image was acquired on 10 March 2026, showing that the HiRISE camera still takes great images after 20 years of service.

This image was targeted to a region showing mineral diversity in the CRISM hyperspectral data. The enhanced-color cutout shows a portion of the scene with diverse colors, indicating different rock types.
